I’ve been in the dark of space
Where you can’t see the hand right in front of your face
But in the light of our golden sun
Every color shines, every single one

Now a sight that most have seen
Not just on a screen, I mean reality
We inhabit nearly every planet
Since we left the earth, now a lifeless world

Through history I’ve seen many things
Whole societies planted and upheaved
Empires ascend to crumble in the end
Mainstream beliefs are just another trend
Both rich and poor toil what for
When in the end nothing gets past death

We made a grave mistake
We thought we wouldn’t take evil into space
We still fight the same disease
Yes it’s all the same people haven’t changed

I wanna have something greater than
A healthy life and long lifespan
I want a life of gravity
And your instruction, Lord, is the key

Through history I’ve seen many things
Whole societies planted and upheaved
Empires ascend to crumble in the end
Mainstream beliefs are just another trend
Both rich and poor toil what for
When in the end nothing gets past death

Is anything we do ever truly new
We’re all the same under the same sun
Generations come and generations go
The sun will rise and set round and round it goes
What then makes sense in light of all of this
Is nothing less than obedience
